Hi,
Can someone please give me instructions on how to make a zero clearance insert (ZCI) for my table saw? Is MDF the best material to use? My current (non-ZCI) insert is 3/8" thick. Do you use 1/2" MDF and route the sections over the TS tabs so that the insert sits low enough, or do some...
I stopped by the Stanford store yesterday in seach of the Bies clearance (no deal, they're evidently sold since thursday) but I noticed they had the air cleaner with worklight on clearance, $69 (I think).
Hint: someone on woodnet.net mentioned getting it for $50 complete with the display...
Just got back from Home depot and they had the Black and Decker 1/4 sheet sander on clearance for $20. The one I got is the QS880G. It is 2amp and has the gel pad on top. Works well, for a cheapy black and decker.
Normal price is $30, same as walmart and probable most. So 33% off. Amazon...
I just got back from the Lowes in Pittsboro, and they had their Genie garage door openers on clearance. I got a 1/2 hp belt drive for $68 regularly $167. The chain drive was $55 on clearance - regularly $138. They said that they were getting ready to get new models.

I put a dado in the edge and epoxied in two magnets. It doesn't...
I put a dado in the edge and epoxied in two magnets. It doesn't vibrate at all. Pretty proud of myself because I came up with that one all by myself :)
I also glued the block under the far side of the insert so that it wont' fly out...probably overkill.

I was in the Lowes in Rocky Mount this morning and found this on clearance.
Was $169 but was $85. They had two left. You might want to stop by your local Lowes and see if they have any.
It was on the regular tool (not on the clearance table).
Almost forgot......it has an...
I have a little old Craftsman table saw that has a blade insert made of 1/10" steel with a blade slot of about 5/8". It allows narrow stock to become lodged between or fall between the blade and the insert.
Does anyone have an idea of what I could use to construct a zero clearance insert for...
