Turning or Shop Smock

I use a inexpensive, zip up smock from amazon. The zipper is odd at first but once you get used to it the smock works like a charm and it is fairly cheap, link below.

One only has to turn in summer shorts once or twice to realize that the tops of the shoes and socks get lots of unwanted shavings. Maybe the Gaitors shin guards like weedeater users wear would help but I doubt it.

Just need some chaps.

Those big floppy sleeves are dangerous when turning on a lathe. There are times when you need to be holding something like inside calipers (for example) on the back side of the turning while cutting in the front. That sleeve can easily catch on the turning.
