Hey Everyone, :icon_thum

I finally did it. I got my shop from Goldsboro, NC to Utah and it is Now all set up. :banana:

By all means not perfect, but Man OH Man does it feel much, much better/cleaner. I'm sure I will find faults in it and my third shop will be even better? :gar-La;

Comments/Questions/Opinions Good or Bad are most certainly Welcome~! :icon_cheers

And this is what my NC Woodshop looked like for quite a while~! Let me just say my Wife is much, much Happier with this Shop. And my NC shop makes me want to cry, the way I treated it so.:cry_smile

Thanks For Looking~! :notworthy:

Looks great Matthew!! I want to borrow your router table. Is that new? If so, where is the gloat? What is in the Ridgid box next to it? The Jet lathe looks great.
Now, you need to get Earl out there to help insulate and climate control.

Looks like you have a nice setup! How are you liking Utah? How's the wood supply out there?

The shop looks great! :icon_thum You've been busy. I especially like the way you reconfigured your dust collection, hanging the blower from the ceiling.

Hey Ed,

Thanks, I like the setup a LOT BETTER~! Feels good to have so much room & the WIFE LOVES it~! :banana:

Love Utah, always have~! Can't wait for winter so I can go Snowboarding. Weird huh, a Snowboarder that likes Woodworking. :gar-Bi

The Wood Supply Stinks, it's in Salt lake city at MacBeath hardwoods: http://www.macbeath.com/products/lumber/exotics.html And there prices are outrageous. Plus most of the stock is very bowed, cupped, twisted, notty, and cracking. Plus I am not sure if all hardwood stores do this, but I bought 2.5 BF of Jatoba and they charged me for 3 BF. I complained and they said thats how we have to charge. It was 5" wide...So I could have got another 5" x 14" board. :BangHead: It's actually about $20 cheaper to buy wood from Steve Wall lumber and have it shipped at least 10 bf Bloodwood would be. It's $13.15 a BF here and $8 at Steve's.

Hey Dan,

Yes I did drop a lot of weight and also threw a bunch away. I also realized that I became a huge pack rat and wanted to make sure that that never happened again. I also had no storage or shelving like I do now and man it makes a HUGE difference.

Sorry about junking up your shop, Just throw it away, sell it, or best yet USE it up man~! Also I thought that with you super fast woodworking skills you could use it up quick~! :gar-Bi

Tom: No sawdust is great~! My DC's work really well and I have hardly anything to clean up after a turning now.

Tony: Yes plenty of room was my goal...As I had no in NC for quite a while until the end. And I sure loved it once I did have room there.

James: The Router table is one of the first things I bought. And the Ridgid is a Spindle and Belt sander combo. No room for it now, not sure where else to put it just yet.

Trent: I made out very Well...Well Thank You. The Military was good to me...Especially at the end. :gar-Bi

Geoff: Way too Clean.... No Way... I love it so much more like this. I celan up after every woodworking project, putting tools away and [STRIKE]sweeping[/STRIKE] oh wait I don't have to do that very much now. The DC's work Super GREAT~!

Bill: I like the DC mounted to the ceiling too. But let me tell you... it almost killed me. I lifted it up a latter and tried to hold it up and screw it in... :XXfridge: I was very scared. Then I had an :widea: and got some strap wrenches and tightened it up till it was close. It worked like a champ and I am still alive :gar-La;

Thanks everyone for the Awesome, wonderful comments. You all ROCK~! And I sure miss you guys~! Not many woodworkers in Utah like the awesom group in NC.

Too much open floor space, you have to buy more tools :gar-La;

Does that mean you are offering to help fill my shop up? :rotflm:

I would love to buy more tools, but I just quit my job last month to focus on schooling. Adn also to take more than 12 credits. This semester I am taking 14. Next probably 16-17 credits.

So money is a little scarce. Ahhhhh :tinysmile_tongue_t:

Wish list is a drum sander, either a Grizzly baby drum 12" sander or a jet mini drum sander~! Oh and I love suprises~! :gar-Bi
