I was asked to make two shelves and I pretty much got the design done. But i don't think i can get the finished completed nice.

He would prefer to make it from Mahogany that will match the walls in his office.

here is a link to the thread in which i have pictures in it that shows the design of the shelves.

John, I am sure that I could make them...especially if he's not any big hurry (I have a few things on my plate to handle first). My only concern would be the logistics of dealing with his location, but I am sure that you've already thought about that when you originally agreed to take on the project.
That said, I still think that you can handle it. If you ever get around the Raleigh area I would be happy to help you.

John, I would encourage you to give it a go! I understand the apprehension over doing something for someone else, but the reward when you have a happy client is great! Mahogany machines very nicely and is very stable. Put a nice edge profile on it and you are all set! If you have questions along the way, I'm sure every one here will be willing to provide direction! I do know one thing if you don't try and stretch yourself, you can't improve.

So Go for It!

John,

Where in VA is the client? I am in the Tidewater area, and could possibly be of assistance.
