Hey All,

I'm looking for a couple kind folks to lend a hand for an hour to help me load a few tools here in Davdison, NC from my storage garage. I have my jointer, planer, and drum sander as the components we'll have to load. I have dollies and a pallet jack, but the planer and drum sander are always fun. With two other guys I know we can load in less than an hour.

Can anyone out there lend a hand for an hour Saturday morning? I was thinking 9am start time, but could be persuaded to wait an hr or two. I've got unloading in Hickory covered. The shop is nearly whole again. :)

Thanks for the potential help guys. I really appreciate it. Brandon has been bailing me out helping me load and unload, but I'd like to give him a break. I'm sure his back is tired. Thanks dude.

Wish I could, but I'm heading to Raleigh for the crawl ... but I'm sure there are plenty of good backs in the area to help!

I wouldn't be much help, but if the Hawk is there I might convince John to [strike]keep you busy[/strike], help. We are kind of tied up, but let us know if you don't get enough volunteers.

Jon,

Thanks for the offer. NIce setup BTW... All I need is some good labor. LOL I've got a motorcycle trailer with ramp that I've moved the equipment down here with. It is just tough to get those things pushed in. :) I loaded from my shop with one other guy, but it sure would be easy with 3. :)

Jon,

You must be a really excellent landscaper. I do believe that is the greenest grass I've seen since I moved here from Pennsylvania. The local country club could sure use your company's services! :gar-Bi

It'll just take some time but you'll get used to brown grass in no time...

Ha ha loading up the trailer is really not bad at all. I don't think it has ever taken us more than 30 minutes to completely load it. I may be able to help you out again man...i'll have to check the schedule and get back with you. Its really not that big of a deal.

Well,

Yesterday I finally got the last of the equipment transferred back to my shop. Thanks to Brandon again and a co worker we got everything loaded in about 1/2 even with a little event....

I went to climb in my truck and noticed the back window looked odd like it might have been hit.... when I opened the door the glass came crashing down on the ground and all through my truck. I'm so glad to be moving out of this apartment. It is a really nice place, but it just goes to show even when you think you're safe you're not. I'm sure whatever happen to it was an accident, but that doesn't make it easier to take.

Everything is back in the shop and now I have hours of setup and clean up to get everthing back up to operating condition. The jointer has a small amount of surface rust for it's storage, My TS wings need to be adjust from tipping it while moving by myself (Ouch, my legs still have bruises from that incident) I need to check all my tables on my table saw, jointer, and planer from the move, and clean, clean, clean.:) The good thing is the machinery moving part is over. :eek:ccasion1 Now I've gotta move the remaining furniture.

Thanks,

John

John,

In case you wondered why you didn't hear from me, I have just three legitimate reasons wht I didn't come to help: (1) Saturday was the March meeting of the WNCWA (still growing with about 35 members); (2) I had rotator cuff surgery on 2/13 after getting clotheslined by Badger just after Christmas (he's our 110# Great Pyrenees -- my stupidity, not his!); and (3) 200+ miles of round-trip gas expense. That one will go away when you have your next open house or I just happen to drop by on our way through Hickory! Glad you're back and able to setup again (BTW, are you going to reopen your website?)

My best wishes...

John,
Glad you're back and able to setup again (BTW, are you going to reopen your website?)

My best wishes...

I'll reopen my website after all the legal matter with my divorce is over. Until then I'll be sharing limit pics through the web. It will probably be some time in the fall again when the website is back up and I'm putting up new pics.

At least I'm on my way to making sawdust again. The hardest part is over. :)
