WOW!!:eek::eek: I really like the second guitar. It looks like fire. How do you finish these babies?

Doug

Jack, I created a new thread for your guitar pics. I was having beautiful instrument overload with Ernie's Harpsicord and your guitars in the same thread.:swoon::swoon::notworthy::notworthy:

Thanks, guys!

I gotta tip my hat to Jeff Weatherspoon for the super photos.

Doug - they're all nitro lacquer finished. Other than a little shellac as a barrier coat or for enhancing already deep figure, nitrocellulose lacquer is all I shoot on my guitars. It's stood the test of time for instruments like these and is really user-friendly to apply. It does require an explosion-proof fan and enclosure to spray in, but is otherwise pretty straighforward to work with.

I dig the quilting, and those semi-hollows (or are they hollowbodies?)

:icon_thum I see they all come with mojo.

Tom,

Thanks much. Reminds me that I do build left handed models. I just haven't had any orders for lefties yet.

Robert,

Grover tuning machines, usually. CTS pots; Lollar or other handwound pickups. The 2 control guitars have just a master volume and master tone. Simple sometimes is better.

You know the saying - if ya gotta ask, ya probably can't afford it. I know I can't!!

WOW, those are definitely kick azz. They make me want to start playing, but I'd never be able to justify buying one of those as a beginner!! :gar-Bi

They are, indeed, very beautiful guitars.

The body styles are very close to my PRS (I'm lefthanded). Mine
has 2 humbuckers, no trem tail piece, ebony on the machine heads,
moon inlays, book matched maple top in a black cherry finish. Master
tone and volume, 3 way switch, wide fat neck. Love that guitar.
