Hello,

I am a novice woodworker living in Raleigh. I am currently unemployed and I try to do a little bit of woodworking between looking for a job and watching the kids. So far I have completed a few small projects. This small bench is about the most complicated joinery I have done:

My next project is to build a few simple boxes.

I look forward to learning from all of you and contributing where I can.

thanks,

Ken Vincent

Thanks Roger, I hand planed the boards flat, I thicknessed it on a power planer and cut all the joinery by hand. It took me a while to cut the joinery, but it was pretty satisfying.

Welcome Ken, I am glad you could join us. With hand cut DT like that, and half-blind to boot (the DTs not you) you shouldn't consider yourself a Newbie. Add one more side, a lid and a bottom and you have a box.
I look forward to your input in the forums and hopefully seeing some more pictures of your fine work.
See you around!!!

Dave:)
