made it to the river

The boat I posted a few weeks ago finally made it to the river.
Here are a couple of photos, there are a few more in the gallery.
I borrowed the paddle to use as a patern, so now its time to make my own.

Congratulations! First launch is always great. How long did your build take? I am already a year past the launch date I planned for my boat and I think I will need at least 3 months more.

We went up above Danbury on the Dan river.
There's an access point with a concrete ramp that's part of the Hanging Rock park
Not sre of the road, but its just past the Dan River Company canoe rental place

nice section
last summer when we went upstream from there we saw a bald eagle on several occasions

the fishing's not much to speak of, but its good to get out
