Just wanted to share this sliding bevel that I made. The brass came from a kit and I used tiger maple for the stock. I really enjoy using this tool (worked wonderfully laying out dovetails, I'm practicing so I can finish my tool chest). The only regret is that I didn't order more brass kits while they had them for sale. Thanks for looking friends, have a blessed day.

Michael the bevel came out nice, I especially like the tiger maple.

If it's not a problem, I'd like to know where you get the kits from.

Thanks in advance.

:icon_thum Michael. I would hate to imagine that tiger maple getting grimy in my mitts. :eusa_doh:

Michael,

Very nice job on the bevel gauge. I like it a lot.

I am curious if you, or anyone, knows why the step down exists on the end where the blade attaches rather than just being one thickness for the full length. I've just had too many times where my line has been off from the blade getting lifted off the workpiece because of it. It's a great tool and has it's uses, but there are limited by my apparent lack of grey matter. Perhaps I only need one as nice as yours?
