What with all you folks meeting up in Cary and Raleigh and such from time to time, I thought I'd toss out a feeler to see if there were sufficient members and interest in the Fuquay-Varina area for a casual breakfast or lunch.
Nothing against Cary or Raleigh(well, Raleigh, anyway:wink_smil) but I drive there plenty times enough as it is. Now that the "feral bicyclists" are infesting the roadways, I REALLY try to aviod that trip if I can!!!!!

Thoughts/suggestions appreciated!

Tom,
I understand completely about not driving to Cary any more than necessary, I moved from NJ to Johnston county to get away from NJ/NY drivers. But I must say that it is worth the drive to spend some time with such a splendid group of people. And most work either in, or near Cary so it works out best for lunch. And as for me, it's pretty much the only time I drive to Cary:lol:.

If you get some people to come, I'll be there. I just come down Lake Wheeler Rd to 401 and I can be at the WalMart there in FV in about 25 min. I've only ever eaten at the DQ (ice cream) there in FV so, I can't recommend any places.

They have great restaraunts in Fuquay; Smithfield's and Golden Corral share a parking lot - hard to top that.:rotflm:

During the week it would be harder for the folks that work in RTP. Pick a date and place and just see who can make it. Even if it just one person you did not know it would be great. Maybe near the 70 and 401 merge would draw more then downtown FV?

BTW I am trying to get folks together for a breakfast at the Farmers Market on April 5th. Not much traffic at 7:30 AM on Saturday.

As there are no Shoney's close by, I have been wanting to try the Golden Coral weekend breakfast buffet. Anything but the weekend second weekend of April. Maybe we could do a south Wake breakfast and shop crawl.

Being in Sanford, and working in Fayetteville, I could only do weekends. And that's sketchy. Usually up to my neck in honey do's on the weekends.

Their head quarters and research kitchens are in Raleigh on Glenwood Ave. Nativespec is very near there. Maybe he could drop in and suggest such items be added to morning buffet.
