Very nice looking bowls Cathy. Those came out great.

Thanks. I really have to invest in a tripod and lighting set-up.
I've been happy with this inexpensive tripod: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000093UDQ/ref=wms_ohs_product

Simple light tent -> http://www.digital-photography-school.com/how-to-make-a-inexpensive-light-tent

My camera doesn't have any options for manually setting the shutter speed, but even so I got a decent picture out of it using the tripod and light tent mentioned above:

Very nice Cathy. Where could I find the pattern for the one shown in the 2nd and 3rd photos?

Impressive!

What do you use for glue on the rings? I would think there's not much of an opportunity for any vigorous sanding on the finished product...

Absolutely stunning, Cathy. Not being a scroller, I'm completely blown away by the artistry of your work. :notworthy:

Wow... very cool...!!!

How in the world do you do that...?

Scroll the rings (lots of 1/4") , glue and lots of prayer.

I used Titebond (the white version), but any that clears dry and doesn't foam would work. All the sanding (other than between coats of finish if necessary) has to be done before assembly. The "touch points" are really small - I use a toothpick to apply the glue. Surprisingly they seem pretty strong once dry.

Cathy, Those are just beautiful and your craftsmanship is excellent. I found that the Titebond molding & trim glue works best for me when making the stacked ring bowls & baskets. It is thicker and does not run or drip and has a fast tack and dry time. It also dries clear. Steve

I really like the Titebond Molding & Trim Glue too, but, it uses a separate cap instead of the retracting applicator device to close the bottle--I keep losing the cap!:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
