Nantucket Baskets

I've inherited this Nantucket basket that my grandfather started and I'd like to finish it up, adding handle, hinges and latch. Does anyone have any good references on how to do this that they'd recommend? I found some videos on YouTube but they're not very detailed. There's also a book sold on Amazon but I'm not sure how good it is. TIA

If the book tells you how to make them, I would definitely buy the basket book. I have learned many things from books.

Jim, I make Nantucket baskets but they are the typical bowl form. What you have is the “purse” style with the hinged lid. Look online at delsnantuckets.com for an extensive range of Nantucket basket supplies. Also, searching for Nantucket basket supplies will bring up many suppliers. But I would check with Joni as what you have is very close to being finished and she may be able to help you.
