    Interesting handplane I picked up.

I picked this up on CL in Columbia SC today. I knew that Freud made some planes, but don't know any details yet. I hope to find out more this coming week. It is made in Italy. Of course I had to have it :eusa_danc.

Picked up my copy of the 2011 Calendar... WOW!

Not only are all the winning pieces stunning, the layout and printing of the calendar is just fantastic! I've flipped through it a bunch of times, its just a real treat! I got my copy at the Klingspor Show in Hickory. So I carried it around and just had to show it to any hapless vendor who...

    Picked up a fan today

So today I broke down and bought something that I have wanted for a while. It is a 1920's Emerson Electric fan. It runs OK but I want to restore it. I have run across a decent how-to on youtube but would like any other suggestions as well. Also...if this does need to have a new finish, how...

Picked up a drum sander thanks to Bruce (Junquecol)!!!

Thanks to a tip from Bruce, I was able to purchase a drum sander from Cary Pawn today. It was a good enough deal that the CFO gave in! :-D As an added bonus, I got to meet another North Carolina Woodworker member, Kevin (Turtlewood), while browsing around. I didn't even have to arm wrestle him...

    Picked up a new router!

I have been needing a router that had a little more HP than my little PC's. The Woodcraft deal put me over the edge and I picked up the Freud FT2200E 3-1/4 HP router the other day. I just got it mounted in my little router table. Man, what a difference!
