    Hollow Form?

    I have always heard two things on how to turn a bowl correctly. #1 leave no signs of how you attached it to the lathe. #2 Finish the inside just as good as the outside. How do you sand and finish a hollow form where you cant get to it? Thanks, Jeff

    Hollow Form with Finial

    This is my first "multipiece" turning. The form is Walnut, about 3" is Dia x 2" tall with a Ambrosia Maple collar and American Holly finial I dyed black. The finial is 2 3/4" tall. Thanks for looking.

    I finished this hollow form last weekend (twice turned, turned green in May 2010). The wall thickness is less than 1/8". It is fairly large at 4 1/8″ tall and 7 7/8″ wide at the widest point and has a 3" opening in the top.

    This is a small piece out of Monkey Pod it was something a bit different for me. Not sure I pulled of the execution as well as I had hoped. Finished in Shellac, and buffed. 4"x4"at top of copper handle. C&C's welcomed.

    hollow mortise chisel

    I just got my new drill press. I was really wanting a dedicated mortise machine, but my old drill press died first so I had to replace it first. My question to you guys is, what do you think about the bolt on hollow mortise chisel. Should I wait to get the machine or go with bolt on. Thanks, Jody
