Black gloss finish on headboard

Finally I got a gloss finish. Two coats of Enduro Waterbase white primer. about ten coats of Enduro Waterbase clear black acrylic gloss tinted black, lots of buffing polishing etc. Thanks to John Richards (good luck on China) Jan Hewill) and Ron at General Finishes for help explaining how to...

Headboard Finally finished

It's finally finished. This was a very satisfying project. Plans were from Woodsmith #145 modifed for a kings size bed. The finish is 2 coats of garnet shellac (1.5lb cut) and 3 coats of water based satin poly. Critiques welcome! Gary

Headboard

Started this project last summer (Woodsmith #145). It has started to warm up here so I got back out in the garage/shop Sunday. I finished cutting the panels to size and contoured. Now I have to route the profile on the edges. I'll get some pictures soon of the panels. I have already completed...

Headboard Question

LOML wants me to cut out two headboards for single beds we have in the guest room. Just some 3/4 ply or MDF with an arched back that she will pad and upholster. Quick project. My question is about attaching it to the standard metal box spring frame. I was thinking of just doubling up the two...
