This is a piece of wood I bought for $0.25 at Habitat for Humanity a few months ago. I don't see much difference between it and the other picture..... the only thing is the crack extending from the occipital lobe through the boundary between the parietal and temporal lobes...

Here is my picture frame sled using the UHMW PE material from EYEKODE for the runners. This is a fixed 45 degree miter jig that will, hopefully, allow me to make perfect 90 degree corners. This was the first time that I used this material but it won't be the last time. I really like the results...
I picked up a 3/4x~9x48" piece of UHMW PE from Dean in Dur'm (his words not mine) recently. Tonight I cut it down to strips of 3/4x ~5/16 x 48. Each strip will make 2 nice 24" runners. They are nice and tight in the miter slots.
I definitely do not need this much :). I have 9 extra strips...
I expect to see people camped out tonight (Doug R.) at the Woodcraft in Raleigh. I might buy another LN handsaw (carcus). I already spent an embarrassing amount on some LN planes and other stuff recently:

I have a friend that would like for me to turn a game call? Specifically a goose call. Doing some research looks like it turns similar to a pen, with several kits available.
Has anyone ever turned any before?
