This Intarsia Duck was a joint venture (My sweet lady, and myself worked together on this one), and it was the first go at the intarsia craft for both of us. Here are pictures of it before and after finishing (It is still wet in the picture, it is actually a satin finish). We made this last year in May for a birthday gift for her father. It is made of Soft Maple, Ambrosia Maple, Black Walnut, Red Oak, Yellow Heart, Mahogany, and Ebony.
We found the pattern on page 30 in a book called, “Intarsia Woodworking Projects” by Kathy Wise.
