Well. Here is something strange to contemplate!!
LOML was cleaning the countertop this morning and discovered a small mound of sawdust under our Chicago Cutlery knife block. Upon close examination there is in fact a small hole near the bottom of the block contained loose wood fibers!
We have had the set for about two years and never seen anything like it.
Would it be unheard of for a borer to have had eggs that only now have hatched and began munching? (I think I will try to get ahold of the manufacturer/importer and see how extensive the "Lifetime Warranty" really is and if it covers the block as well as the knives.
Interested hear any of your experiences/thoughts.

UPdATE....For what it is worth, I just injected vial of acetone into the hole...we will see!
