Well it's that time of year again. A local schools fund raising auction is in two weeks. I just finished this mahogany wine rack for my contribution.www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/data/500/medium/100_09291.jpg
I don't know why that shows up that much in the pic. It's not noticeable in the flesh. I quess it was the lighting.:dontknow:Very nice :icon_thum
I like the dovetailed drawer divider - nice touch.

The grids are attached to a frame that sets back about 1 1/2" from the front and back. This leaves about 7" between grids which allows a bottle to rest in it. The grids are just mounted to the frames with glue and brads and covered with strips to hide it. I couldn't find drawer pulls I liked so I made them using ebony.Very nicely done, Larry!!!:thumbs_up:thumbs_up:thumbs_up
I like your selection of drawer pulls. Very understated and classy look.
What kind of joinery did you use to fasten the "bottle lattice" to the upper and lower aprons?
Someone is going to be a very fortunate bid winner for sure!:wsmile::wsmile:

I put on one coat of Minwax Red Mahogany stain followed by two coats of thinned amber shelac and three coats of poly. Before it goes out I put on a coat of wax. What did you use as a finish on the mahogany?
