All sales final, and my driving time and gas would be more than the cost of the plane anyway. Besides, I'll have fun tuning up the base, edges and blade while I watch Dr. Who or Monk on TV.
I have several L-N planes but no L-V. However I do have some other L-V tools such as spoke shaves and spindle scrapers. If they are an indication of their planes they should be just fine. I just like the more traditional look and feel of the L-Ns. Just MHO. I don't think you could go wrong either way.
