I am using the design in a mag. to make some stools for LOML. These will replace the 5 kitchen chairs I have broken. I am also on a diet!

It is a neat design. No turning. Use a round over bit in the router. The mortises are made with a 3/4" bit in a plunge router with the leg gleamed in a jig that allows a 5 degree splay for the legs. The mortise is made as the leg is still square so I can get a good grip then rounded.

I am having to put a few shims some of the mortises to tighten them up.

Thats a pretty neat way of making those. They are looking great, can't wait to see the seats.

Those frames look good to me John. Mind sharing what mag you got the plans from?

Those are coming along nicely. :icon_thum

Please keep the WIP pics coming as you work your way along. I expect there was a lot of work to get to where you are now. BTW, I love padauk. Those are gonna be some beautiful stools. :)

Do you have any pics of the mortising jig you used?
