Soft Deleted joke

I soft-deleted FredP's post regarding containing the joke about a new element being found. One of the responding posts note that some offense was taken and that it might violate site policy.

If I went overboard here, let me know... I think I did a soft-delete.

I was the one that took exception to the way that it put down people that worked for the government and posted my objection. Then I closed it, but let it stay so others could still see both sides. It does come close to being a political statement which is a violation of our policy.

I felt I would be playing judge and jury if I deleted it, so I appreciate your action, Ray.

I knew you had a conflict there. I pulled the post because I thought if it stayed in place, folks might start taking sides. Just look at what happened when someone said what kind of pizza they liked... :argue:
