+1! I've used a very similar technique for years and it produces really nice results. I apply one coat in the usual manner, let it penetrate, wipe off the excess and let it dry throughly. I apply the second coat and do the 400 grit slurry sanding as described in the video. I add additional brush-on, wipe-off coats as desired.
