A small solar panel on the roof, a 12 volt car battery in the rafters and a few 12 volt light bulbs will provide plenty of light for a storage area and will cost less than running 12 ga wire to the building.

Roof design is up for grabs. Could be an a-frame or lean-to, but I'm leaning towards an a-frame. :help: Advice is appreciated.

If you do an A-Frame, break out the old geometry text. Remember Hypotenuse squared is sum of the squares.

So, using the fact that you might want to maximize the use of the plywood and avoid cutting it whenever possible, it would be nice if the top of the roof were say 6 ft. or 1.5 sheets of plywood. Pick a nice number for the height at the peak like 3'. This would make the rafters about 5.2' long each side of center (10.4' total) giving you a nice 1.2' overhang on each side. (6*6 - 3*3 = 5.2*5.2) approx. You can play with the numbers to get something that looks the right proportions and has the overhang that you want.

With the above you could get by with 3 sheets of plywood and one cut if you have no overhang front and back. Adding that will involve some additional cutting.
