Looked at this stuff in HD yesterday and a search here seems to indicate that 'blond-wood' is another name. Q is; will it paint well. One side was real fuzzy and my past experience with fuzzy ply (may have been the same product) was not good. End result I'm looking for is a lacquered look on this.

Joe,

I have used it before and found that it really needed a good thorough sanding with 220 before and after priming for paint. Haven't attempted to stain it.

I have a few small scraps here at the house if you wanted to use it to try out a lacquered look w/o buying a whole 4x8 sheet and being disappointed.

Just let me know and I can drop some of it by your shop.

Joe,

That sounds like some stuff I tried to stain a while back... the results were terrible. Try some tests before you sink any money into the material if you do intend to use stain.
