Received Dirty Santa Gift

This years Charlotte Woodturners Christmas meeting/party was nice and I walked away with a beautiful maple burl bowl by John Benton (http://www.woodturningbyjohn.com). John is the 2009 president of the club and an amazing turner (check out his site)

They do a "dirty santa" gift exchange. This year I lucked out with ticket #1, which meant after all was said and done I had my pick of the gifts. An amazing opportunity. I chose this beautiful piece to add to my collection.

You'll notice the dragonfly cutout. This is John's symbol, I believe, and it an elegant touch.
