Morning,

:help: What does the term /m3 mean when referring to an amount of wood? For example, USD1100/m3?

Don't trust this completely but I would guess that is 1100$ for 3000 bdft

I think M means thousand in the limber business, maybe some holdover roman numeral thing.

I believe Bernhard is correct - m3 means cubic meter - as 3M would mean 3000 board foot.
Some of the bigger lumber producers and exporters sell by the cubic meter and have done away with board foot measure. It's that way in the log business too the bigger guys buy and sell by the ton - very little "stick scaling" is done anymore.
