Pulled a nice log out of the creek today and I am not sure what it is.. Possibly a walnut, river birch or a sycamore but won't be able to id until it is sawn.

The coloration is intense with deep steel blue mineral staining throughout. Can't wait to crack it open..

Yep.. its strenuous but fun. I am starting to lean towards it being black walnut.. will find out today.

Well whatever it is Kyle, from the last picture of the logs on the WM it looks like it might be curly - I can see the grain twisting up the trunk like a barber's pole. It'll be very interesting to see what's inside those logs :)

In this kind of weather, creek or not, that's some hot work. Looks like you got a nice score out of it. Make sure you post up some pics of what's inside that monster.

Red River Birch. I will post a picture when I saw some more of the lumber.
Crazy coloration on the last batch. It was exactly like normal lumber in color when sawn and as soon as the air and sun hit the surface turned a blue grey steel color. The whole batch is that color. wild!

I pulled the remaining tree out today and spied a huge boxelder that is sitting in the middle of the creek about 50 feet down.

By 50 ft down I'm hoping you mean horizontally and not vertically?

Looks like some possibilities of some neato saplings with vines wound all up in 'em from that first photo. I and one of two others just might could get real interested in browsing them thar woods.
