point-turned cannon parts

I've been using center-point turning now for the past year or so; my spur centers are gathering dust as I haven't done any projects that actually need them.

I've started a model of the big cannon in the Cary Grant movie "The Pride and the Passion." Here is a practice cascabel (the knob at the breech of a muzzle-loading cannon) from a cocobolo scrap.

Here are two wagon-wheel hubs turned together:

The hubs, having thru axle-holes, are turned around their bore, very similar to pen turning. The cascabel is solid, and prepped with a machinist's center-bit to put a 60 degree center hole in each end.
