Olympic Poly Info

Has any one here ever used Olympic Brand Satin Poly, I found were I can buy it for $7.00 a gallon. I want to thin to make a wiping varnish but have never used this brand.

If it is oil based you should be able to thin it with mineral spirits. It should even list some of what it has in it to help you figure that out.

$7 a gallon sounds scary to me. Reminds me of when I bought paint for $30 for a 5 gallon bucket to paint the interior of my shop. It took 10 coats and 30 gallons. Never again.
