Here are 2 new handles that I made for my Oland turning tools. The top one is just a turned handle for the 5/8" tool and the bottom one is for the 3/4" tool. It's made from a piece of 3/4" pipe wrapped with 1/4" Hemp rope coated with KWIKPOLY www.kwikpolyllc.com . KWIKPOLY is my goto OOPS material. it sets up in 5 min. and machines very easily. (GREAT stuff)

With it being coated you don't feel the rope. But if I make another one I won't coat it, because the rope I get from my local Ace store is nice and smooth

Great link to the Kwik poly, that sounds like a useful material for firming up spalted wood that is a bit too far gone. Great handles as well.
