need help vintage sears simpson jig saw

A friend of mine has a sears simpson jig saw for sale it is 1/8 hp and it works fine it does not have any dates on it but he thinks that it was made back in the 40s. Does anyone have any idea what it would be worth. I have a picture but can't figure out how to attach it.

Depends on a lot of different factors, like does it look like new or very worn? Does it work like new or barely runs? Does it have all of the original parts and accessories? Was it the top model of its time? Is all of the electrical insulation in perfect shape or are the wires frayed or exposed? Do you really, really want it? Does he?
