That looks great Gary, and would probably functional as well as beautiful.

The only thing I would add is a little ebony knob on the lid.

I really like the proportions of the box and the lid.

The finish is just a coat of BLO I put on to take the picture. Any thoughts on where to go from there?

Nice turned box. I bought a dvd at the Klingspor extravaganza in Hickory, watched it many times but still have not tried one.
