Miter Gauge recomendation

I have both the Incra 5000 sled and a JDS Accu-miter. Both are extremely accurate.

The Incra allows you to pull ther miter gauge and fence further toward the infeed side of the saw so that you can crosscut boards up to about 2 feet wide. The weight of the sled and the "T" on the tip of the miterslot bar keep it from dropping down.

The Accu-miter is really sturdy. The Connecticut Valley Woodworking school uses these and claims that once set up they have never needed to adjust them even with students using (abusing) them. The fence is heavy and does drop when pulled back past the edge of the saw table.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy either one again.
