Minor feature change: Attachments

This is just an informational message. This use of feature has been disabled for quite a while (many many months).

But, it was still showing as an option you could use.

So, I've gone ahead and disabled Attachments in the New Thread/Reply to Message pages.

This will not affect Photos or the Download Library in any way.

Here is a before and after screen shot of what has changed:

Many newer users may ask "Why can't we post Attachments to our posts"? Well, there are at least two primary reasons. First, the attached pictures often gets lost in older posts because the original poster may have moved them from the original source, and second, they can only be used once -- they are locked out from use in other posts, which creates problems for users and the original poster. Beyond these reasons, they also take up different space than our photos in galleries and are more difficult to manage. Uploaded pictures in galleries can be posted in multiple places, get resized automatically in threads and are present in archived posts (as long as they are kept in the same albums). They offer many advantages and users can upload as many as they want.
