Making Wood Vertical Blinds

I've had my shop windows covered with sheets since it was built to keep prying eyes out. I decided after seeing a video on YT that it was time to do something about this. Using the basic design from John Heisz - I build it channel, I followed his idea except cut the pieces out on my ShopBot CNC. Here's some pics with the pieces just setting together on my workbench.

Then using the same jig idea to cut the slots in the 3/4" dowels

This is where I'm at with some of the pieces dry assembled upside down on my bench. The next pic is of the blind slats waiting to be cut to length.

Nicely done Michael.

Got a link to the video that guided you or a detail post on how you got this done? Seems like it's a bit beyond beginner and John Heisz searches get way too wide of a return on youtube.

Looks like a couple of the pieces could have been straight, but the wave you added to them really makes it look cool.

Gene, I can work something up but I cut all the mechanism parts out on my CNC. It can be done although a bit more tedious with a bandsaw and drill press.
