Made a molding plane

I took a 3 day class at the Woodwright's School over the weekend and made an ogee profile molding plane. The class was taught by Stephen Slocum. He makes beautiful planes, the class was extremely well organized, and he is a willing instructor. Definitely recommend.

I came away with a plane that functions, looks pretty good, and the knowledge to make another.

Wood is quarter sawn European beech.

Need to clean-up the layout lines. Also forgot to chamfer the edge on the fence. A little sanding and finish and it should be good to go.

Thanks for looking.

That turned out great, I’ve taken a few classes there, well worth the cost and a lot of fun as well.

Stephen is an excellent teacher. Won't be long you will be working on a half set of hollows and rounds. At least that was what happened to me after the class.
