Looking for plans on a laying tool

Looking for plans for a laying tool, or is this something you just kind of "wing" and improv on or just go with the flow....anyone know where plans for something like this could be found? TIA.

I don't think you will find plans for these. Just 'wing' it. I guess that you could copy shapes frojm catalogs such as these:

You may want to do a search for "Fid" plans. Fid is the nautical name for the same tool. Wiki-pedia shows a chart with some dimensions that you may be able to adapt to your needs

Hey thanks everyone, yeah I was figuring it would be a thing for just winging. It is used for cross stitching/embroidery like gator said. I meant to get on here earlier but the weekend got crazy and busy. Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to try and turn one next weekend so I'll post some pics later.
