LOML could not wait for me to build bar chairs so she bought these at a killer deal. They are stained but do not have a finish on them. The directions said to use "teak oil" but I was thinking of General Finshes Arm-R-Seal Oil & Urethane Topcoat in Satin. My big question is should I use the GF Seal-A Ceal first even though it already has a staind?

BTW.

The first image gives the apperance that they are glossy now but they currently have a flat sheen as in the second image.

Travis,

Try the Seal-Cell on a small hidden spot to see if it affects the stain. I don't think it will but it is safer to try a small spot first.

The Seal-A-Cell should pop the grain for a better looking finish.
