Latest Amazing Project From My @longer.global Ray5 20 Watt Laser Engraver..
Layered Harry Potter Themed Glasses!
The design is from @etsy and I imported it into @lightburnsoftware and dialed in my settings for the laser to cut the project out of thin material from @buildersdiscountcenter
The settings I used for the engraving were Power 27%, Speed 3500, Passes 1 with air assist.
For cutting all 8bpieces I used 87% Power, 300 Speed, 1 Pass with Air Assist On.
It took around 1 hour to do all the pieces as I had to do it in batches of 4
After it was laser cut and dusted off, I used a light shade of @minwaxusa wood stain and a darker stain and alternated them to give the fully assembled piece more depth and a 3d look.
After it dried I assembled the layers with CA Glue.
I finished the project off with several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss and when it dried it was ready to display!
I love all the little details on this piece like Hogwarts Castle on the hill and the Hogwarts Express going across the viaduct.
