process? Latest lidded box

As a very novice turner (I have to check to make sure I am using the right end of the tool) I am interested in learning more about the process of turning a lidded box. Do you know of any process descriptions that I could look at?

Re: process? Latest lidded box

Go to the woodturning section of the download library and you will find an excellent tutorial on lidded boxes

Also try the following link

Thank you - that document is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Kudos to Alan Leland for clarity in explanation.

Henry another great resource and article penned by our very own Big Mike is this tutorial
I have had the great pleasure of meeting Mike on several occasions. His box work is outstanding and highly prolific (there has to be at least 300 in his home). I have one of my very own and the fiction fit of the lid still amazes me to this day

A bit more on his work

Dave:)

I did mention Mike's tutorial in the download section although I did not put a link to it. I have also met Mike and echo what Dave said. He is very skilled on boxes. In fact, he is teaching a couple of classes at the NC woodturning symposium in October if you would like to learn more.
