My wife told me not to bother turning this one when she saw the original blank( nope no pictures,too much evidence).As with most of the blanks I turn I know there would something different when I got it to the diameter the blank was designed around.
There were a number of tests on this one, one of which is the finish, a variation on a plexiglass mixture.
Fancy slimline kit,I think the CB is rose wood.

:lol: Sweet, Eagle...is that zebrawood? LOL...just kidding. I like it..especially for the complexity. FWIW, I think the centerband would compliment the pen more if it were not flush with the top and bottom barrels. I have been making a lot of mine lately with the centerband wider than the blanks in a way that almost gives the blank a look of being cinched..just my 2 cents...

oh...and I almost forgot to ask how you did that....nevermind

Wow - you continue to amaze me. It looks like the band is a little proud of the lower barrel - which looks cool. If your wife just can't stand it, it can come live here!
