I saw this on Popular Woodworking (http://www.popularwoodworking.com/projects/wright-style_print_stand) and wanted an easy project over the holidays. I made several, with these two the first to be finished. One is cherry, the other white oak. There's actually a lot more to making these than I first thought, but they're fun.

The workmanship is beautiful Dan. I'll confess my ignorance and ask, what is a print stand used for? I couldn't open the link to get more info, or the dimensions.

From what I've been able to find, Wright designed this tabletop "easel" to display Japanese prints, of which he was a collector, but it apparently it was never built until after his death. Prints can be set on both sides of the stand. The dimensions of mine are 36 X 8 X 12, but I've seen pictures of other "floor models" up to 75" tall.

And the link, which worked yesterday, is dead today. Maybe just for maintenance?

Very nice work, Dan!!!

Are they both built with M&T joinery?

Nice addition to any room and compliment any artwork.

Nifty!
