Fireplace Mantel Project

So, in general I am slow as I attempt any finer WW'ing.

Tackling this mantel for my daughter's fireplace was hard for me to visualize and keep straight, as it was built upside down and backwards, gee that sounds like most of my work!!

Good part of the whole thing is that I got to learn a bit using my new Ridgid jointer, DeWalt 735, and thank goodness for the Makita sliding compound miter saw that could handle the crown cuts.

Built out of furniture grade SYP from Steve Walls Lumber, and the oak crown came from local big box.

Anyway it just needs to be mounted this weekend.

I hope the pictures will show up okay as I am still learning a bit on that.

Looks very nice. Just don't mount it upside down! Post a pic when it's all done.
