This is my Grandmother Clock I have been working on since early June. It is really nice to get it finished and in its special place in my house.
Anyway, details;
79" tall (to tip of finial), 17" wide and 11.5" deep
made from curly/figured walnut
finish is six coats of General Finishes satin Enduro Var finished rubbed out between each coat with progressively finer Scotch-Brite abrasive pads
hardware is from Horton Brasses (pulls), Whitechapel Ltd. (H hinges, hood latches), and Woodcraft (bullet catches and hood top latch)
movement is Hermle Cable Drive Triple Chime GM movement HC40T
the case is modeled after a "Prescott Grandmother Clock" blueprint that I made some minor modifications to that I liked
This was a more challenging project than I originally thought but was a really pleasant way to spend my summer.
Thanks for looking, Rob (robliles)
