Direct Tools Outlets are having a 50% off sale. At least in Mrytle Beach. Picked up Ridgid oscillating belt-spindle sander for $135 MSRP $299, $269 in store regular price. New in box factory blem. For those that are unaware factory blem usually means new items rejected by HD due to pallet damage. DT can't sell as new so sell as blemished. 1 year warranty.

None ONLINE. Nothing Half Off there either. Six Rigid battery tools, plethora of Ryobi stuff. Myrtle Beach is a world away for me! Selected the Charlotte store and RIGID brand - First product that came up was a Ryobi battery charger. Might be worth it if they had a store near one and on a regular route - but you likely had a happy accident.

Didn't find anything online Wednesday. Went in when picking up wife from Tanger Outlets. Probably lucky but I'll take it.

Several years ago someone posted here on NCWW that the SMithfield NC outlet had a manager inventory clearance sale - and gave some examples (many tools were less than $20 each). I took the time to drive from Raleigh and picked up a BUNCH of Ryobi One+ tools and batteries (some recon, some blemished) for my budget of $200. I was quickly convinced me of the utility of cordless tools. This is especially the case while working at the top of a ladder. Moved on from handyman work now, but those tools were the heart of my toolset for several years (multiple deck repairs etc). Never had any failures of the tools or batteries.

Well, broke down and "upgraded" to the Milescraft track saw guide. I had been using an MDF shelf as a guide to break down sheets. I do final cuts on the table saw so I could not justify a Makita setup. Amazon had it on sale. Funny, one on E-Bay is TWICE retail price. Do people actually fall for that?
