Cork Grip For Crochet Hook

I make and sell a lot of the interchangeable crochet hook sets from PSI. My standard grip is usually ~.75" or a little less. I get asked about thicker grips for those who like or need them. It's mainly a comfort thing. I doubt that a heavier grip is better or worse than regular hooks. I normally make them out of hardwood. It occurred to me that cork would make a grip even more comfortable, so here we are.

~1" x 3.25" (grip only). Brown, River Cork with a Mahagonny butt cap

I am not sure how durable that will be but is sure looks pretty. What kind of finish did you use?

No finish on the cork, and some friction polish on the wood.

Durability? They use this stuff for grips on fishing rods. Pretty durable.
