here's the top for my new coffee table -it's walnut, wormy maple, and cherry. I used some of the walnut with the sapwood streaks in between the maple boards. This was my first attempt at breadboard ends. I learned the hard way that my router fence was not at 90 degrees, which i used to hog out most of the mortise waste. All was well, b/c the fit was way too tight anyways, so i had still had room to pare them straight. The grain on the breadboard ends was a real battle, changing directions at each end. I ended up with some tear out when I planed them flat, so I spent a long time with scrapers cleaning these up.
