I don't own a suit. If a suit is required, I don't go. My work clothes are my dress clothes as well.

i should own a suit. been wearing the same blazer to weddings and funerals for 20 years. I own a company and am responsible, and can afford a suit. But every time i go to a suit store or section of a store and the salesman starts asking me questions I tell them i will come back later. I don't know exactly what the resistance is but it is pretty strong.

back in the 70's I worked for a guy who owned a marina and boatyard back up north.
He wore khaki pants and shirt every day for all occasions, including formal functions at the local yacht club.

made an impression on me as a young man.
