Boise Crane mortise & tendoning machine - $150 (Raleigh)

I know some of you guys like old iron, maybe this'll be of interest to someone. Can't say I'm familiar with a "tendoning" machine though. Maybe you stick your hand in it?

Personally, all I see is a power hollow mortise chisel -- I don't see any sort of tenoning (or tendoning) machine in their sale.

That said, to me this is a very overpriced machine considering what modern used power mortisers sell for. Particularly given that this older mortiser lacks nearly all the features present in modern mortisers -- especially a proper fence and hold-down. I don't even see any provisions for a fence with this mortiser?

I have no vested interest in this sale*, but personally for the advertised price, I would go see it if I was closer.

BC made some nice heavy duty stuff back in the day. Simply as a drill press it could be worth it. And I would bet good money that if it's in decent shape, you could not compare anything modern to the quality of it.

*I think I have seen this machine advertised before, and if it's the same one, the owner is one of our own.
